The 1st European Commission Algae Contractors’ Conference and the 8th International Algae Congress will take place on 1st to 3rd December 2014 at Villa Vittoria, Palazzo Dei Congressi, in Florence, Italy. The conference is jointly organised by the European Algae Biomass Association (EABA) and the Directorates General for Energy and Research & Innovation of the European Commission in collaboration with DLG.

The first day of the conference will include mainly plenary lectures of the 1st European Commission Algae Contractors’ Conference and the 8th International Algae Congress. On the second day time will be devoted to the numerous contractors involved in European Union funded algae projects covering various aspects of the process chain from algae production, harvesting, extraction, water recycling and conversion to products. The day will be concluded with repporteurs giving their summaries of what has been learned. The third day will be include the 1st European Commission Algae Contractors’ meeting and EABA assembly.
