The UNI-SET project is organising the 3rd UNI-SET Energy Clustering Event, taking place at the University Politehnica of Bucharest, Bucharest, Romania, 21-23 November 2016.
UNI-SET is an FP7 Coordination& Support Action implemented jointly by the European University Association (EUA) and KU Leuven, representing the universities in KIC InnoEnergy.
Objectives of the 3rd UNI-SET Energy Clustering Event
The Energy Clustering Events seek to mobilise the European university community to tackle the energy challenge by fostering exchange and collaboration between researchers, educators and other stakeholders, framed by the European Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET-Plan) and the Energy Union.
The event in Bucharest is the second event in the series of six Energy Clustering Events scheduled in 2016 and 2017 to discuss and stimulate the development of innovative research and education programmes in the energy field, throughout all SET-Plan and Energy Union R&I priorities.
The overall goal is to strengthen inter-university cooperation. The event will offer insights into innovative programmes and approaches from a multidisciplinary perspective through examples, lessons learnt and other best practice. The conference will also offer specific opportunities for “clustering” knowledge, in which research and education leaders from different disciplines will present their views on the specific priorities of the SET-Plan.
Very importantly, conference participants will have the opportunity to provide feedback for the European roadmap in the field of smart energy systems and communities, in line with the general “Roadmap for Universities in Energy” validated at the 2nd ECE in Turin.
Call for Contributions
The organisers are welcoming proposals for contributions for parallel and clustering sessions based on the event’s theme of “Smart Energy Systems and Communities”. Please refer to the Call for Contributions on the event website on how to provide your inputs. Deadline for submissions is Monday, 28 October 2016.
