The ‘featuredresource’ section includes Analysis Tools, Best Practices, DeploymentImpacts and Potentials & Scenarios for a host of SETIS low-carbonenergy technologies, such as biofuels, geothermal power, hydropower,heating & cooling and smart electricity grids.
The Clean Energy Solutions Center also aims to assist CEM countriesand governments – including the European Commission and several EUMember States – to drive low-carbon technologies by identifying andsharing best-practice policies, providing the market with informationon emerging policy trends and identifying opportunities for policycoordination across countries.
Key goals for the Center include:
- Sharing clean energy policies, public investment trends anddeployment outcomes across major economies;
- Identifying and supporting broad use of policy and bestpractices;
- Engaging high level policymakers in dialogue about clean energypolicy and public investment opportunities;
- Facilitating access to information and assistance available acrossCEM initiatives.
Targeted CEM initiatives
The Clean Energy Ministerial builds on technology action plans thatwere released by the Major Economies Forum Global Partnership in 2009.These laid out best practice blueprints for action in key technologyareas. CEM initiatives are focused on three global climate and energypolicy goals: improve energy efficiency worldwide through the GlobalEnergy Efficiency Challenge; enhance clean energy supply; andexpand clean energy access.
