The EU needs investment in grid infrastructure and a common methodology for setting binding targets for energy efficiency, according to the European Parliament's rapporteur on the energy strategy for Europe, Lena Kolarska-Bobinska.

Ms Kolarska-Bobinska presented her draft report to the Parliament’sIndustry Committee in response to a Commission Consultation on the10-year energy strategy launched in May.
