The JRC supports the integrated SET-Plan through a dedicated information system (SETIS) which constitutes the monitoring framework and assesses the progress in implementation.  It contributes to the identification of gaps and options for progressing with the actions required for the European energy R&I Agenda. In addition, as part of the State of the Energy Union annual reports, SETIS assesses key performance indicators that monitor progress in research and innovation in the European energy sector.

The SETIS Conference will put an emphasis on presenting the SET Information System's findings and inputs to the State of the Energy Union report.

Within the programme, the pressing need for a transparent approach, based on sound-evidence and scientific knowledge and engagement with all concerned actors, used to monitor and to provide insights for strengthened energy innovation efforts will be discussed with an expert panel, reflecting also on the JRC approaches.

SETIS and other relevant JRC reports, as well as online illustrations of the JRC achievements in support of the Energy Union Strategy will be available on the spot.
