Building a strong European electricity market was the theme of a high-level conference on electricity regulation that took place on 27 November 2017 in Florence, Italy. A range of distinguished speakers from the European institutions, the energy industry, and national governments, including European Commissioner for Energy and Climate Action Miguel Arias Cañete, met to focus on how the EU is creating an internal electricity energy market that works for consumers and society as a whole.
