Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy Miguel Arias Cañete will give the opening speech at the Global Wind Summit in Hamburg on 25 September. It is one the largest meetings of the wind power industry worldwide, bringing together stakeholders from business, politics and civil society. Discussions will focus on the future of the global wind energy industry. Wind energy, as one of the main sources of clean and renewable energy, is an essential element for the modernisation of the European economy making it cleaner and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
